I knew. I knew and I didn’t tell you. Our Overlords commanded me to keep the Today Show performance “under my hat,” so I haven’t written about it. But I knew.  God help me, I knew.  And I feel like a big fat liar. (more…)

I have three shows to tell you about. I am falling behind out of pure exhaustion. I am lucky that I am typing this on an iPad. I don’t think I would have the strength to push down actual keys on a laptop. The fingers are the second thing to go at my age.

Two years ago a lovely couple heard our band play. They said, “If we ever get married, we will hire you to play at our wedding.” Happy ending: they got married and we played their wedding rehearsal dinner. Yes, we ARE apparently available for weddings and Bar Mitvahs. It was held on Block Island, RI. (more…)

Big fan of the Wright Brothers. Let me state that right up front and get it out of the way. Love the whole “fly through the air” thing. When I was a young man I fell in love with the space program. I made charts and graphs on poster boards of all the missions and the astronauts and the rockets. I did not want to grow up and go into space but I was very glad that THEY were crazyass enough to want to. (more…)

It seems I may be truly incapable of writing a blog that doesn’t offend SOMEONE. I have learned my lesson. From now on I will check and double check all of my blogs to make sure they offend no one on the planet. They will be misogyny free, prejudice free, snark-free missives that glorify the human spirit and hold us all up to the mirror that shows us for the beautiful, kind spirited creatures we are. (more…)
