9.20.12  Tonight’s show at the Tupelo Music Hall in Londonderry, New Hampshire was the Bizarro version of our last show. It was a very small club… about 200 people… and the room’s a weird configuration. At sound check we could NOT get the sound right. The bass rumbled so badly it loosened the fillings in my teeth. The voices had this feedback frequency that made them sound like the sound a Bavarian guy makes playing crystal wine glasses. (Pretty at Christmastime, but not cool now). Nothing we did could clear it up so we just shrugged our shoulders and said ” we will do the best we can tonight and try not to hurt anyone.” (more…)

9.19.12 Tonight’s show was the show that almost wasn’t. The Keswick Theater has 1200 seats but we are a baby band, and baby bands don’t usually get 1200 asses in the seats on a Wednesday night in Glenside, Pennsylvania. The promoter wasn’t gonna cover his costs cause we only sold 300 tickets. Now 300 people […]

9.18.12 It’s Tuesday night. Hard to believe that we only just played our fourth show and have two whole weeks left…but that’s reality. We rocked the Ram’s Head in Annapolis. The night teetered between great and weird. Sound check was awesome. Always a bad sign; we sounded great….could hear each other….very nice. (more…)

I sang The National Anthem when I was 12 years old at the NBA San Antonio Spurs games. I had no fear. I had sung it about five times and it went so well that they asked me to come back and sing it at the opening season game. It would be nationally televised. I’ll never forget the moment the announcer said, “Would you please stand and join Georgia Middleman in singing ‘The National Anthem.'” The cameras were on and thousands of people stood up and put their hands over their heart.
