9.19.12 Tonight’s show was the show that almost wasn’t. The Keswick Theater has 1200 seats but we are a baby band, and baby bands don’t usually get 1200 asses in the seats on a Wednesday night in Glenside, Pennsylvania. The promoter wasn’t gonna cover his costs cause we only sold 300 tickets. Now 300 people in a club would be a hell of a great accomplishment for us and make for a rocking evening (like last night at the Rams Head), (more…)

9.18.12 It’s Tuesday night. Hard to believe that we only just played our fourth show and have two whole weeks left…but that’s reality. We rocked the Ram’s Head in Annapolis. The night teetered between great and weird. Sound check was awesome. Always a bad sign; we sounded great….could hear each other….very nice. (more…)

9.16.12 I know I can technically take the night off from blogging because we did not have a show tonight…. but we were not lazy bones either. Established bands could take the day and relax by the pool sipping an alcoholic beverage. Not us. We woke up early, got on a plane (a private jet weaseled from a friend, so take off points for not having to get anally probes by TSA)… flew to Atlanta and sang our single “Feeling Brave,” the National Anthem AND Take Me Out To The Ball Game!!! 9.15.12 Third show of the tour. We played in a great big barn. It was a fundraiser for a charity that helps needy and/or disabled kids ride horses, hence the barn. It looked like we were going to play over cutlery clinking and people talking so we were prepared. These kind of gigs are always a little dispiriting because we are sometimes nothing but background music for them. We finished songs and heard polite applause… I told jokes that echoed into the darkness and died awful deaths… or so we thought. (more…)
